When was the Fino Office Division set up and with what aim?

Every item of furniture or furnishing is testimony to the company’s image and hence it adds more value

The Fino Office Division began operating as part of the Fino Group of companies in the 1980s. In those days, office furniture was produced locally in our factory but eventually we concurrently also started to import office furniture and office chairs from Italy. To this day however, Fino still manufactures custom-made office furniture for those who want something original and particular.

Do you offer total office solutions as well as one-off pieces and designs?

Yes we do. In fact, our service includes design (when the client does not have an architect or interior designer involved in the process), supply and installation of office furniture, office partitions, raised access flooring, metal ceiling and office seating. In fact, because we offer a total office solution, we can even supply lighting and ornamental ware suitable for offices.

Do you offer a full service, from planning to after-sales?

The sales team of the Fino Office Division offers a 360-degree service from planning to fulfilment so as to ensure the complete satisfaction of our client.

What are your main considerations when helping a client design or refurbish an office?

Ensuring that we totally understand the needs of the client is always foremost in our minds and various departments within the Fino organisation come simultaneously into play to ensure timely fulfilment of the client’s requirements. These departments include the designers, purchasing, production teams when items involve local manufacture, distribution planners and installation teams.

Does the design of an office depend on its function?

When designing an office we take into consideration various factors. The first consideration is to understand if the office is going to be used as an executive or else as an operative office and the number of people who will operate in it and obviously, their role.

Lighting, natural or otherwise, is also considered as well as the dimensions of the room. Another very important aspect is the image of our corporate client. Nowadays, furniture, whether it is residential or corporate, is not merely intended as a workstation or to store items, but it is also a statement of one’s lifestyle and image. In this way, every item of furniture or furnishing is testimony to the company’s image and hence it adds more value.

What considerations do you make with regards to lighting, acoustics and ergonomics?

Each office brings with it a different story and this is commensurate with the function that our client will have for a particular office. Fino Group caters for such needs through other divisions such as Fino Lighting or other third-party specialists with whom Fino has a working relationship.

Do your office designs incorporate work and relaxation areas?

This is usually common with international clients. It is not something that local companies normally request, but when required and space permits, our designers will obviously include such environments. We have both the expertise and the products to provide furniture for such areas.

What about technology elements?

The office world is moving fast where technology is concerned. Nowadays it is possible to find a desk that levels itself to different heights at the touch of a button. It is also common to find desks having an electric panel for laptops to be plugged into them, thus avoiding unsightly wires to be seen.

Overall, how does effective office design and furnishing contribute to productivity and well-being in an office?

It is a proven fact that productivity depends on how comfortable people feel and how efficient their workspace is. For this reason, we also take into account the colour scheme that will add efficiency and harmony within the workspace.

Apart from your own brand, what other brands does your Office Division represent?

Fino Office Division represents some of the most renowned brands in the world such as Herman Miller, Della Valentina Office, Emmegi seating, Frezza, Prolicht, Luce Plan and Berry Floor.
