The 11th Malta Bridge Festival takes place at the Preluna Hotel, Sliema, starting on Saturday with the Welcome Pairs at 8.15 p.m.
Play continues through the week ending on April 15 with the prize-giving and gala dinner.
European Tournament Director, Marc van Beijsterveldt will again be in charge of the tournaments.
Among the players taking part are a group from Russia, among the first participants 11 years ago.
Others will come from England, Scotland, Ireland, Italy, Romania and France. Maureen Dennison, a former Euro champion and a faithful participant in the Malta Bridge Festival, will again be here.
