The Malta Tourism Authority recently published the 2005 edition of its Malta Calendar of Events, currently the only extensive digest covering major events and activities taking place in the Maltese islands throughout the year.

The Malta Calendar of Events is distributed in the major international travel trade fairs and exhibitions and is also made available locally.

The information available on the printed version of the Malta Calendar of Events 2005 is also found online on the events web-pages of the MTA's destination website and will be available as from January 2005 on its corporate website.

The MTA is collaborating with various cultural entities within the Ministry for Tourism and Culture to make its events website a 'one-stop site' for prospective visitors to Malta searching for information about major events organised on the islands.

This site gives prominence to events organised by the MTA, the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts and Heritage Malta, as well as those held at the Manoel Theatre, St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity and the Mediterranean Conference Centre.
