The latest book in the Challenge of Scale series published by the London-based Commonwealth Secretariat is based on research carried out as part of a post-graduate diploma run at the Faculty of Education of the University of Malta between 1994-1998.

"Educational Planning and Management in Small States: Concepts and Experiences" presents the reflections of 18 senior officials working in ministries and departments of education in 12 small states, based on insight they garnered during the post-graduate programme.

The 305-page book is co-edited by Associate Professor Godfrey Baldacchino and Prof. Charles J. Farrugia.

The text will be formally launched during an international conference being held in Malta by the Commonwealth Secretariat in spring 2003.
