The Malta Cuba Society recently held the biannual general meeting for the years 2007-2009, in which they appointed the executive committee for 2009-2011.

Notable highlights in the past two years include participation in the Jose-Marti Brigade, an annual activity in which European youths come together to conduct voluntary work, socialise with Cubans and learn about Cuban culture; the launch of the society website www.maltacuba.org ; raising €705 for disaster relief after last year's hurricanes; and participating in a meeting of the International Organisations of Solidarity with Cuba in Italy.
