Malta Football Awards today
Coppa Italia on show
The presentations night of the third Malta Football Awards will take place this evening at the Westin Dragonara Hotel.
Again the organisers will acknowledge last season's protagonists of the game but not for match officials who were ordered not to accept any award by the Malta FA for reasons still unknown to the organisers.
Salvinu Schembri and Nicky Saliba will also be honoured for their achievements in football during their illustrious careers.
The show, starting at 8.30 p.m., will be screened live on Net TV.
Meanwhile, the Malta Lazio Supporters Club yesterday announced that the Coppa Italia, which Lazio won last season after beating Juventus 4-2 on aggregate, will be on show at the Malta Football Awards night.
A special guest tonight at the Westin is Felice Pulici, the former Lazio goalkeeper and now a legal adviser at the club.
The Coppa Italia will also be on show at the Lazio Supporters Club in Paola tomorrow between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
