The Golden Princess, one of the largest cruise liners in the world, will call at Grand Harbour on the first of her nine stops in Malta for this season, on Thursday at 12.30 p.m. departing at 7 p.m.
Local agents Thomas Smith & Co. Ltd. said the Golden Princess, considered to be one of the most magnificent ships ever to grace the Princess fleet, was launched in 2001 and has everything one could want in a floating resort. She is 935 feet in length and can accommodate 2,600 guests.
The Golden Princess has 15 decks, three show lounges, three dining rooms, four pools, a virtual reality theatre, spacious state rooms, cabins with private balconies, and a unique nightclub on the 15th deck.
The Mediterranean itinerary aboard the Golden Princess, which includes Malta in the 12 day cruise, starts from Barcelona, and visits the ports of Montecarlo, Livorno and Capri/Naples. She will travel between Barcelona and Venice on a series of 10 and 12 day cruises.
