Malta International Wine Festival opens at Argotti Gardens

Five-day event celebrates local viticulture heritage

The Malta International Wine Festival kicked off on Wednesday providing “an important platform for the promotion and celebration” of the local wine industry.

Speaking at the opening of the five-day festival at Argotti Gardens, Agriculture Minister Anton Refalo said this event was part of a wider effort to strengthen Malta’s viticultural heritage.

"This festival represents much more than an evening of entertainment – it is a celebration of the wisdom, tradition and passion of our farmers and producers," Refalo said.

The festival will raise funds for Missio Malta and will feature musical tributes to Phil Collins, The Police and Elvis, as well as wine-tasting masterclasses.
