The biennial Malta Music Awards are to be held on November 29.

The last edition of these awards was held in the summer of 2001, when Antonello Venditti and other international stars wooed the crowds at Ta' Qali.

As in previous editions, nominees will be awarded in various categories of music - Best Male and Female Artist, Best CD, Best Band, Best Composer, Best New Artist, Best CD Sleeve, Best Artist/Band Web Site, Best Video and the Lifetime Achievement Award. For the first time this year, at least three new categories will be added, including Best DJ, Best Upcoming DJ and Best Dance Music Producers. The final list of awards will be announced after all submissions are received and evaluated.

Local artists who produced and published works during the period between June, 2001, and this month can submit their nomination by e-mail noel@mmm.com.mt.

The closing date for nominations is September 30.
