Malta needs to focus on housing affordability, infrastructure, planning - MDA

With the election over, Malta needs to tackle its challenges and opportunities, lobby says

With the election now concluded, Malta's focus must shift towards addressing the current challenges and opportunities ahead, such as housing affordability, infrastructure, planning reform, environmental sustainability, workforce development, economic competitiveness, energy security, and the quality of life, the Malta Development Association said.

In a statement, the association congratulated the Labour Party for its triumph and the PN for its campaign. It said it looks forward to maintaining constructive dialogue with the government, the opposition, social partners, civil society organisations, and all stakeholders.

"The MDA remains committed to supporting policies that encourage sustainable growth, responsible investment, social mobility, and greater certainty for both businesses and families. Malta's future success will depend on long-term vision, stability, and the ability of all stakeholders to work together in the national interest," it said.
