We have yet another set of stamps from Maltapost, this time proudly displaying Maltese traditional food - and why not.

We must by now have in our stamp collection every dog, bird, marine creature, butterfly and insect that one can see (or hope to see) in this small island of ours.

Surely during this year, which happens to be the 60th anniversary of the Santa Marija convoy and the award of the George Cross to our island by King George VI, it would have been appropriate to commemorate these two historical events.
