Maltacom has finalised three separate agreements by means of which the public will be given access to vote for their favourite Eurovision song whether from a fixed line or from mobile.

For the first time ever, Maltacom has been given the rights to set up and administer local televoting, directly from the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), through their German subcontractors Digame.de.

Maltacom has also reached separate agreements with the two local mobile operators, for their subscribers to have access to normal televoting.

As a result, Maltacom fixed line subscribers will be able to vote on both the semi final night, tomorrow, and the final session of Saturday, at the rate of 20 cents + VAT per call. Mobile subscribers will also have the same access. However, a call from a mobile phone to these televoting numbers, will cost the caller 30 cents inclusive of VAT.

The televoting numbers being used for tomorrow's semi final will range from 5004 3901 to 5004 3922, with the number having suffix 08 being blocked, since this is assigned to Julie and Ludwig's song, for which the Maltese public cannot vote. The numbers used for the final session of Saturday, will range from 5004 3901 to 5004 3924.

As stipulated in the regulations drafted by the EBU, the maximum number of calls from the same calling number, which will count for the televoting result, will be 20 calls.
