MOAS was set up in Malta in 2014

An NGO founded in Malta in 2014 has helped treat 84,700 soldiers on the frontlines of the war in Ukraine, saying in a statement there were no records of death among the people it had assisted.

The work carried out by MOAS, the Migrant Offshore Aid Station, was recently praised by Ukrainska Pravda, an influential independent news platform.

MOAS has become a key part of frontline medical response efforts, working closely within Ukrainian healthcare structures to deliver urgent care in high-risk areas.

Originally founded in Malta for Mediterranean rescue missions, MOAS has spent more than four years playing a central role in the invasion of Ukraine.

MOAS frequently handles the most complex cases requiring urgent or critical care, and in many situations is the only organisation that can take on such cases.
