€10,000 from Malta's Overseas Development Aid for this year have been presented to an institute for disabled children set up by Mother Theresa in India.

The money was presented by Foreign Affairs Minister Tonio Borg during a recent visit to India for the inauguration of a Maltese High Commission in Delhi and a consulate in Chennai.

Most of the children in the institute are abandoned streed children. The nuns of Mother Theres have 20 instituted for abandoned children in Delhi.
