Maltese duo rub shoulders with fashion designers abroad

Maltese fashion designer duo Charles and Ron have just launched their Beatrix winter collection at the Moda in Galleria fashion event in Naples, held in aid of Amnesty International.

The show marked their international debut - and an opportunity to take Maltese fashion design to another level.

The eighth edition of the show, held at the Galleria Principe di Napoli, was presented by fashion expert Katia Noventa and actor Massimo Giuliani.

Among the designers participating were Sorelle Broy, Susanne Wiebe, Germano Reale, Vincenzo Casapulla, Georges Hobeika, Marialetizia Grisafi, Le Gemme, Alfonso Zapulla and Pat Maseda.

The event was attended by a number of guests from the world of fashion and entertainment and professional Italian models added allure to the already stunning collection.

Beatrix has gained exposure from its participation in the event, which is being broadcast via satellite on Saturday on Videolina at 9 p.m. and on Orbit and even Rai TV on dates yet to be confirmed.

Following their success at Moda in Galleria, Charles and Ron have been invited to show their collection on Rai 1 on Katia Noventa's programme in about two weeks' time.

"After the show, there was a news flash on Rai 3 about the event and they only showed clips from our collection," the fashion duo proudly pointed out.

"We received positive feedback and were interviewed by various Italian and foreign TV stations."

Beatrix is being featured in the magazines Superbe and Collezzione on which international designers' collections are showcased.

"We are still a bit overwhelmed because it all happened so suddenly, but it was a great experience," they said on their return.
