Seven Maltese are serving prison sentences abroad - three in Italy, two in France and one each in Egypt and Australia, Foreign Minister Joe Borg told Labour MP Stefan Buontempo in reply to a parliamentary question yesterday.

He said another five Maltese were in foreign jails awaiting pending investigations. Two are in Italy, two in Tunisia and one in Turkey.
