Veronique Zammit, who holds a first-class honours degree in music from Napier University, executed the British premiere of Charles Camilleri's work for solo piano, Mediterranean Images, at the Edinburgh Society of Musicians in Edinburgh.
Ms Zammit is recording this set of pieces, together with Due Canti, Valletta Images and Times of Day, at The Ian Tomlin School of Music at Napier University where she is reading for an MPhil.
She was awarded two scholarships to study in Edinburgh, first as an undergraduate student and subsequently as an MPhil student.
They were awarded by Ian Tomlin, a prominent benefactor of Napier University.
Ms Zammit has performed as a solo pianist, accompanist and chamber musician in numerous venues, including The Queen's Hall in Edinburgh, the Tampere Conservatoire in Finland and the Manoel Theatre. She has also taken part in various festivals including The Edinburgh Fringe in Festival and the Mediterranean Festival in Tunisia.
