The following are the top stories in national newspapers today.

Times of Malta says most of its applications to the government under the Freedom of Information Act over the past months were rejected. In another story, it says that according to police records, reports of violent behaviour in the home rose by almost five times since Parliament passed the Domestic Violence Act a decade ago.

L-Orizzont says that eight of 71 US Criminal Intelligence Agency flights to Europe in the past four years stopped in Malta.

The Malta Independent says none of the candidates in the PL deputy leader election last night reached the quota to be elected outright, with a runoff today between Economy Minister Chris Cardona and Justice Minister Owen Bonnici.

In-Nazzjon reports about a meeting between Opposition leader Simon Busuttil and unions at Air Malta during which Dr Busuttil said Air Malta shares should be offered to the public.
