Members of the Malta Institute of Taxation (MIT) have been included in the European Register of Tax Advisers, set up by the Confederation Fiscale Européenne (CFE).
With more and more firms preparing international projects or developing multinational initiatives that require tax expertise and advice, not only from their home countries but also from other European countries, obtaining qualified tax advice is essential. The CFE has adopted advanced Web-based technology to respond to these requirements and to make initiatives a reality.
The European Register of Tax Advisers meets the requirements of every person, professional or not, who needs the services of a qualified tax adviser. Entry to the Register is strictly limited to members of organisations affiliated to the CFE. As the CFE's affiliated organisation all MIT members automatically qualify for registration.
As an Associate or Fellow of one of the CFE member organisations, meeting also the requirements of the CFE Code of Conduct, MIT members are among the most qualified tax advisers in Europe. One advantage of the Register is that it contains data on individuals who have parallel qualifications and skills.
As the Register is an on-line search engine, potential clients from all over the world can access it to search for a tax adviser with the right skills. They can search by name, region, language skills or specialisations.
If an individual, for example, is an expert in transfer pricing in one country, but has another language as his mother tongue, the Register would be an ideal way to promote these skills.
Registration can only be done through the Malta Institute of Taxation, who will provide a registration code with which to access the Register and fill in personal data. A preview version will be available on completion of the process.
