Maltese police officers conducting immigration patrols, rescues in Greece

Four officers are on a three-month Frontex deployment

Four Maltese police officers have been deployed to Greece on a three-month Frontex border patrol mission.

They are based on the island of Lemnos, where they conducting immigration duties and assisting the Greek coast guard in search and rescue operations at sea, using the Malta Police RHIB.

"This deployment highlights the Malta Police Force’s continued commitment to international cooperation, contributing to efforts aimed at saving lives and strengthening border security across Europe," the police said.
