Six scouts from St Aloysius College spent the weekend in Chelmsford, Essex at the invitation of the mayor, Ian Wright, to attend the town's One World Day, a multi-cultural celebration.
The town's centre, an attractive shopping and dining-out area, was transformed into a cosmopolitan entertainment zone by some 100 different country and cultural groups.
The British Scout Association put up a colourful stand on the movement.
The Scout Association of Malta will be represented by a contingent of 47 scouts, led by international commissioner Franco Azzopardi, who formed part of the college group at Chelmsford, at the Eurojam camp in Hyland Park, close to Chelmsford, from July 29 to August 10.
Some 10,000 scouts from 52 countries will attend the Eurojam.
The Guide Association of Malta will also be sending 102 members to Eurojam.
Hylands Park will be the venue of the 21st World Scout Jamboree in 2007 when some 40,000 participants will gather to celebrate the centenary of the Scout Movement.
