A 25-year-old man was grievously injured in a fall in a St Julian's building when some masonry slabs he was standing on gave way.

The police said in a statement the accident happened at 10pm on Thursday in Xatt ta’ San Ġorġ.

The man, a British national from St Paul's Bay, was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
