A 74-year-old man from Qormi was grievously injured in a traffic accident in Żurrieq.

The police said the accident happened at 9.15am on Triq il-Wied and it involved two cars  - a Toyota Belta driven by the man and a Ford Fiesta driven by a 21-year-old woman from Siġġiewi,.

Police investigations are ongoing.
