A 53-year-old man from Sta Venera has appealed from a judgment handed down by the Magistrates` Court which ordered his detention for two months and fined him Lm25 for failing to maintain his wife and for breaching the conditions of a previous release.

Anthony Gauci was found guilty of failing to supply his wife with Lm100 a week, following a previous court ruling between March 2 and April 5.
