Man brandishes kitchen knife at plumber who turned up to investigate leak
The plumber was accompanied by an apartment block supervisor
A man was given a two-year jail term, suspended for four years, after he admitted to brandishing a kitchen knife at a plumber and apartment block supervisor who turned up to deal with a leak in the Msida building he lived in.
Magistrate Lara Lanfranco heard 39-year-old German national Tuna Celik plead guilty to causing the plumber and building supervisor to fear him and carrying the kitchen knife without a licence on March 16.
Police Inspector Ian Azzopardi prosecuted, while lawyer Martin Farugia appeared for the accused and lawyer Lennox Vella represented the victims.
