A Valletta man was yesterday charged with drug possession and trafficking.

Stephen Abdilla, 31, pleaded not guilty to the possession of heroin and to trafficking in the same drug on and before December 6, 2001.

He was also charged with committing a crime during the operative time of a suspended sentence and relapsing.

Police Inspector Neil Harrison prosecuted.

Dr Joseph Giglio and Dr José Herrera appeared for Abdilla.
