A Bulgarian man is in a critical condition after falling a height of about two storeys down a ship’s hold at Malta Freeport.

The incident happened yesterday at about 11am when the 61-year-old electrician was doing repairs on the ship. Civil Protection Department personnel were called to assist and the man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital.
