Man denies threatening and insulting parents

He was also accused of breaching treatment and probation orders

A 38-year-old man has denied causing his parents to fear that violence would be used against them.

The Msida man appeared before the court on Friday, where he was also accused of threatening and insulting his parents, and breaching a restraining order in their favour.

He was also accused of breaching a treatment order and a probation order, as well as recidivism.

Details of the arrest did not emerge in court.

The man was remanded in custody after bail was not requested at this stage.

Magistrate Astrid May Grima presided.

Police inspector Carlos Cordina prosecuted.

Legal aid lawyer Silvan Pulis appeared for the accused.
