A 30-year-old English man died this morning after he was hit by a car that was being driven from Msida to Sta Venera.

The police said the accident happened at 1am.

The car was being driven by a 42-year-old man from Cospicua.

A medical team assisted the man on the spot before he was taken to Mater Dei Hospital but the victim died.

An inquiry is being held.
