A 57-year-old man died in a fall off a ladder on a farm in the limits of Victoria.

The police said in a statement the incident was reported at around 9.45am on Friday.

A medical team rushed to the site, but the man was certified dead on the spot.

Police investigations and a magisterial inquiry are ongoing.
