Man dies of suspected overdose

Joseph Raymond Christie, 36, was found dead of a suspected drug overdose at about noon yesterday, the police said.

The man was living on his own in L. Zamenhof Street, Msida.

Sources said it was believed he had died earlier in the day. Objects related to drug abuse were found at the residence.

A post mortem examination is to be held at the hospital mortuary today.

Magistrate Anthony Vella appointed a team of court experts, including clinical forensic physician Mario Scerri, to help in the inquiry.

Police investigations are being carried out by the drug squad.
