A 34-year-old man from Zurrieq was yesterday morning found dead by his sister at his mother's home in Fra Fredu Mattei Street, Zebbug, after he suffered a suspected drug overdose.

Items related to drug taking were found close to the body of Wilfred Azzopardi, police sources said.

Duty magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera was informed of the case and appointed several experts to help in the investigation.

Police investigations are being led by the Qormi district police together with the drug squad.
