A 28-year-old Libyan man fell three storeys to his death yesterday while working on a construction site in Birkirkara, the police said.

The man was plastering and painting on the site in Qanpiena l-Kbira Street when he fell at about 1 p.m. He was taken to hospital in a private car and was certified dead.

Magistrate Jacqueline Padovani-Grima is holding an inquiry and has ordered an autopsy to be conducted by pathologists Ali Salfraz, Marie-Thérèse Camilleri, clinical forensic physician Mario Scerri and toxicologist Michael Sammut.

The police are investigating.
