A 76-year-old man died when he fell into an empty reservoir on Monday morning, the police said.

The accident happened near Triq Ħal Farruġ, Siġġiewi.

The man, from Mqabba, was found dead in the reservoir after apparently falling a height of one storey, the police said.

Magistrate Ian Farrugia is holding an inquiry. The police are investigating
