Man found in possession of cannabis in Paola garden

Police officers found two large bags containing cannabis on the man, and another half kilo of drugs at his home

A 28-year-old man was arrested in a Paola garden over aggravated possession of drugs. 

The police said in a statement that officers were on patrol at Ġnien Toni Bezzina at around 10.30am. They stopped and searched the man and found two large sealed bags containing suspected cannabis drug in a paper bag.

The officers also searched his residence on Triq Kordin, in Paola, where they found around half a kilo of cannabis and other drug paraphernalia. 

The man will be charged in court in the coming days.
