A 57-year-old from St Paul's Bay was grievously injured in a fall at a construction site in Kalkara.

The police said in a statement the man fell off scaffolding that was around two metres high, on Triq Santu Rokku.

A magisterial inquiry is ongoing.

The police and the Occupational Health And Safety Authority are also looking into the incident.
