The police drug squad yesterday afternoon seized 250g of cannabis resin and a number of ecstasy pills from an apartment in Senglea.

A 44-year-old man is being held in connection with the find and is expected to be arraigned in the coming days.

The police said the search was sparked off by a tip off.

Duty Magistrate Lawrence Quintano was informed of the find and appointed several experts to assist him in the inquiry.

The investigations are being led by the drug squad.
