Man grievously injured in rotary tiller incident near Ġnejna Bay

Emergency services called to the scene at around 1pm

A 65-year-old man was grievously injured while using a rotary tiller near Ġnejna, on the outskirts of Mġarr, on Saturday afternoon.

The incident occurred while the man was working in a field in Triq is-Santi, in the limits of L-Iskorvit, and was reported to emergency services at around 1pm, a police spokesperson said.

Members of the Civil Protection Department assisted the man alongside a medical team.

He was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where he was certified to have sustained grievous injuries.

Police investigations are under way.
