A San Gwann man was yesterday jailed for three years and fined Lm300 for the possession of heroin, cocaine and ecstasy in circumstances denoting they were not for his personal use.

Magistrate Joseph Cassar found Joseph Spiteri, 41, guilty of the possession of just over 0.5 grammes of heroin, 9.36 grammes of cocaine and 15 ecstasy pills on and before June 13, 2002.

He was also found guilty of the possession of two counterfeit Lm10 bills and relapsing.

Police Superintendent Neil Harrison prosecuted.
