Man seriously injured at construction site close to university

He was injured while using machinery

A man was seriously injured at a construction site within the limits of the University of Malta, Msida.

The police said in a statement the man, 47 from Żabbar, was injured at around noon while using machinery at the site.

He was assisted on site by a medical team before being rushed to Mater Dei Hospital.

A magisterial inquiry and an investigation by the police and the Occupational Health and Safety Authority are ongoing.
