A 59-year-old man from Xewkija was seriously injured when he fell from a ladder and knocked his head at a construction site in Nadur.

The police said the accident happened on Wednesday at around 12.50pm in Triq San Blas.

The victim was taken to Gozo General Hospital in a private car.

An inquiry is being held. The police are investigating.
