A worker was seriously injured when he slipped and fell as he arrived for work on a construction site, the police said.

The accident happened at 7.10am at Triq Orazio Diacono in Żejtun. The 39-year-old resident in Luqa slipped on rainwater. He was hospitalised.

Magistrate Joseph Mifsud is holding an inquiry.
