Freddie Cassar, the 46-year-old man injured in yesterday's St Catherine's fireworks factory blast is still fighting for his life, the police said.

Mr Cassar, father of two, was hospitalised suffering extensive burns on 60 percent of his body. It is believed that he was flung out of the room by the explosion's force.

Yesterday's explosion killed 62-year-old Zaren Barbara; father of four. Mr Barbara is the sixth person who was killed by a fireworks factory blast this year after five men were killed last June following St Helen's fireworks factory explosion.
