A 55-year-old man was injured on Tuesday when he fell from his balcony in Żurrieq.

The police said the accident happened in Triq il-Kittenija at 12.30pm.

The balcony the victim fell from was around one storey high. He landed in a courtyard.

The victim was given first aid by a medical team on site and was then taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

The police are investigating.
