Police find phone of father wanted for attack on children at White Rocks
Young girl fled the scene, her brother was found with grievous injuries

Police have found the mobile phone of a man wanted in connection with the attempted murder of his two children in Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq on Saturday night.
Sources told Times of Malta that Salvatore di Prima, a 49-year-old Italian national, took his two young children to a site close to the White Rocks complex and "indulged in an act of violence".
His 10-year old daughter fled the scene and called for help.
The police rushed to the scene, where they found her 12-year old brother suffering from grievous injuries. He was treated on the spot before the two children were taken to Mater Dei Hospital.
The father had fled the scene.
The case took place on Saturday at about 10pm. Ambulances and several police vehicles rushed to the site.
Sources said members of the AFM and the Civil Protection Department were called to assist in the search at the Baħar ic-Cagħaq coast area. Crews from land, drones and a rhib were dispatched. A helicopter was also seen over the area.
Police searched the abandoned White Rocks complex room by room and the immediate vicinity.
The search was spread beyond the coast road to other locations across Malta later in the day.
The AFM deployed a helicopter during the search for the missing man.In a statement on Sunday morning, the police named Di Prima as the “alleged aggressor” calling on the public for any information about his whereabouts as the search intensified.
Sources said there are no reports of any incidents of domestic violence involving the suspect on his estranged wife or children.
The sources said that Di Prima's mobile phone was found on the rocks in Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq. A message had been sent in which the man claimed to have "killed" his son and wanted to end his life.
Anyone with any information about him is requested to contact the police, even anonymously, by calling 2122 4001/119 or call at the nearest police station.
The police said they could not provide further information due to the sensitivity of the case.
