Manchester United sack Ruben Amorim

UK club say it is the 'right time to make a change'

Manchester United have sacked their manager Ruben Amorim after just 14 months in charge.

In a statement, Manchester United said it was “the right time to make a change” to “give the team the best opportunity of the highest possible Premier League finish.”

Manchester United are currently sixth in the Premier League after 20 matches.

Darren Fletcher will take over the team as interim manager.
