Portugal midfielder Maniche, who has said that he hates playing in Russia, will remain at Dynamo Moscow, the Russian premier league club said yesterday.
"Maniche has a five-year contract with our club, therefore he is still a Dynamo player," Dynamo general director Yuri Zavarzin was quoted as saying by Russian daily Sovietsky Sport.
Maniche, who was sold to Dynamo by Porto for the Russian league record 16 million euros in May, has expressed his deep unhappiness at Dynamo, saying he wants to leave Moscow.
"I am not well, nor is my family. I don't like the country, I don't like the championship and I don't like the weather," the 27-year-old told Portuguese media at the weekend.
"I've already transmitted my dissatisfaction to my agent and right now it's necessary to reach an understanding with Dynamo."
But Zavarzin has poured cold water on his plans. "I haven't heard anything from the player himself, that he is not happy or he doesn't like playing for us," said the Dynamo boss.
