Marc Martel New Year's Eve Queen covers concert in Malta cancelled
TEN08 said all tickets for 'One Vision of Queen' will be fully refunded
A highly anticipated New Year’s Eve concert featuring Canadian Queen cover singer Marc Martel has been cancelled.
An email sent by event organisers TEN08 to ticket holders on Friday simply said the event was being cancelled “due to unforeseen circumstances”.
The “One Vision of Queen” event was due to be held at WH21 in Paola and was scheduled to feature not only Martel singing Queen’s greatest hits, but also Maltese artists Kurt Calleja, Carlo Borg Bonaci and Mykill.
Tickets for the concert were selling on event platform Showshappening for €70. Two days ago, the organisers were advertising Black Friday discounts for the event with a two-for-one offer.
On Friday evening, the event was not visible on the Showshappening platform anymore. However, the Malta date is still visible on Marc Martel’s official website as part of his extensive music tour. He is scheduled to perform in Phoenix, Arizona on December 27 before his Malta concert on December 31.
The organisers pledged to refund all ticketholders in full within five business days.
“We understand how disappointing this news is and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience it may cause,” TEN08 said in their email.
