The Focolare Movement is organising the Mariapolis between March 19 and 21 at the Jerma Palace Hotel, Marsascala. The Mariapolis, which actually means the city of Mary, brings together people of different ages from different walks of life for three days.

The theme of the Mariapolis this year is: "Together for a New Culture". This year's programme will be a celebration in remembrance of the movement's 60th anniversary.

It will also be a means to get to know more about the spirituality of unity and Chiara Lubich, founder of the movement, and her message.

Experiences from everyday life will be shared by members of the movement, who are present in various environments. The programme will be interspersed with songs and artistic moments as well as workshops in small groups, which all help the participants to be truly united.

Children and teenagers will have a concurrent programme, envisaged and adapted for them to take part in the same experience.

The Mariapolis is a powerful experience of reciprocal love, which kindles in all those who take part a wish that this way of life becomes the norm in our everyday life, so that Jesus' prayer: "Father, may they all be one" is fulfilled.
