The government parliamentary group yesterday confirmed MP Mario Galea as whip. He will also be the group's secretary.

In a statement, the group said it discussed various posts, among them the chairpersons and members of parliamentary committees and the composition of delegations. Those appointed to fill these posts will be announced in parliament.

Thirteen members of the parliamentary group were also elected to have a vote on the Nationalist Party's executive committee.
